MS Virtual Earth vs Google

Why in the world does the media persist in giving Microsoft praise for coming up with a piss-poor version of Google Earth?

Check out these two views of The Northwest promenade and surrounding neighborhoods. MS is old out of date black and whit image. Google's looks so much better. (MS doesn't even have the shopping center built yet - sheeeeesh).

Google Earth is even better but it is a stand alone application you must install.

Busy Busy Busy

Yes I've been too busy with work and other matters to get much posted lately. Aren't you luckey?
Two items of note however. EU parliament rejects software patent initiative.

I'm assuming they are mostly afraid of large US companies dominating the software market even more then they do now but the results are still good.

Second, my geek friends and I all knew this.
Giving senior execs digital toys such as PDAs and wireless gizmos can be more trouble than it's worth, according to research out today.
