Google Maps
Have you used Google Maps? They now have the ability to switch to satellite and back to maps.
Double click to center or just drag the pointer to move the view. A zoom bar lets you move the view in or out. As you change views the map and satellite stay in sync. Very cool.

My neighborhood. Yeah I can zoom right down to my house. Glad the pool looked good that day.
There's Garces Memorial High with OLPH on the low left, the Panorama bluffs and the Kern River across the top, Greenlawn Cemetery in the middle and the west side of Bakersfield Jr College on the right.
